MX MOVIES creates and implements a strategic marketing plan for each property owner. This involves photographing all areas available for filming and featuring them on our website (please note that during the pandemic, we may request the Property Owner to provide high resolution photos). Each film location property has its own web page with information pertinent to production. Photographs are updated as filmable areas change (space is leased, etc.)

Our network is comprised of a comprehensive list of film production companies, location managers and location scouts, in North America (Canada and USA) and internationally. We work with the property owner in hosting showings of their film location property to location scouts.

In preparation for the first film production at a property, MX MOVIES works with the property owner in developing standard policies and procedures for filming. These are made part of the Film Location License Agreement to be used for each film production.

MX MOVIES will screen any film production interested in the film location property with respect to budget, requested areas of use and anticipated production dates. If acceptable to the property owner, we will proceed with an initial showing of the film location property to the location scout, followed by any additional showings (for example, Director, Technical, etc.) should there be interest.

MX MOVIES will then assist in negotiating a Film Location License Agreement between the property owner and the film production company, obtain evidence of proper insurance coverage, collect all license fees (and remit to the property owner) and security deposits.

MX MOVIES will provide an experienced site representative (liaison) to manage the production from load-in to wrap activities, and to facilitate a good working relationship between the film production company and the property owner.

Once filming is complete, MX MOVIES will handle close-out, including determination of any final costs due prior to the return of the security deposit to the film production company.

MX MOVIES’ commitment is to provide film friendly premier properties to our film production clients, and to work closely with the property owner in achieving that end. Our property owner clients are made aware of the advantages of filming and of maintaining a smooth relationship with the film production company from beginning to end.

With each film production that takes place in one of our client’s film location properties, it is our objective that the film production company has a favorable experience and remains a long term partner of that film location property and client of MX MOVIES.

Should a production company be interested in one of our client’s film location properties, MX MOVIES will first ascertain the requested areas of use, budget and anticipated production dates.
